Their Situation
When the Crowne Plaza Hotel at the LAX airport contacted SafetyCentric, they had a total of six video recorders throughout the hotel. In addition, their system was unstable with cameras dropping and having power failures. There were a total of three different LCD display monitors to view all of the video recorders. Upon inspecting the system, SafetyCentric also found that the wires behind the DVR units were unmanaged and in complete disarray.
Our Solution
SafetyCentric reduced the number of video recorders from six to four with a more streamlined and efficient system. A 42" LCD display monitor was installed to view all camera displays on one screen. Because there were IP and analog cameras integrated into all the DVR's and NVR's, SafetyCentric integrated HD, analog and IP cameras. Last, the cables behind the recorders were cleaned up and the power issues in the systems were stabilized.
Their Result
The customer was very pleased with the monitor, which cleaned up the Surveillance office and freed up space. The systems were easier to navigate through and could be accessed with the click of a mouse. The new cameras provided a higher resolution than the previous system. Because SafetyCentric installed a tribrid DVR in conjunction with the NVRs, the customer was able to save money and integrate multiple types of cameras. The stabilized system no longer dropped due to power failures, resulting in fewer service calls for the customer.
